Holy Joe is short film following the inner conflict of Joe, a pastor. He is a cheery and friendly character, who unfortunately has a gambling problem. After winning his first horse race, he becomes too confident and enjoys the rush it gives him. As time goes on we see how the rush it once gave him slowly fades along with his winnings. Now he must decide whether he wants to continue to bet to try and feel the thrill again or return to the church he has been so faithful to? With help from his inner devil and angel, where shall he end up?​

Originally pitched by Eli Thompson, using only the prompts of a Pastor​, a Horse Race Track and the style of Radio Fun Comics, the team and I developed Holy Joe further. I produced this film during our first year of university. With a core team of four, we had 12 weeks to produce a finished vertical slice of 10+ seconds; my team and I produced 1 minute. I took charge of the script and animation.

As this was the first film I had produced I was very excited but very conscious of the steps we took. I made communication key, within the team. This project kickstarted many of our ambitions of future careers.
